In the material world, gaining knowledge is a virtue. We all want to learn more, know more. We want to think in creative ways, think constantly, analyze things, look under every rock. These traits are very helpful in the material world
On the spiritual path, sometimes knowledge (especially religious knowledge) and overthinking can become stumbling blocks. People often become attached to their knowledge, if not proud and arrogant about their knowledge. They have a certain inflexible way of thinking which prevents their progress.
In order to progress on the spiritual path, you have to realize knowledge and your thinking are not the goals, they are just the means, and at the right time you must be prepared to leave them behind and move ahead.
Spirituality is not about knowledge, it is about experiencing your soul — which requires no knowledge, just the pure ecstatic experience!
At your core, you are peace. Be who you are. Be peace.
