Article: Changing the World

In my book and in a previous article, “What is God?” I have shared the mind boggling assertion — God is the Universe! The Universe is God! This assertion can change the world.

People have fought countless wars in the name of God and religion. They have argued, my God is better than your God. My scriptures, rituals and culture are better than yours. These endless and futile debates can now be laid to rest. If the Universe is God, then everyone belongs to the same Universe. The religious wars hold no more relevance.

We are of the Universe, by the Universe, for the Universe. We, in and out, are part and parcel of the Universe. No one can take the Universe out of us, and no one can put the Universe in us. Just like a fish is born in the ocean, lives in the ocean and then submerges back in the ocean, we are born in the Universe, live in the Universe and submerge back into the Universe. We are one with the Universe. We have no existence apart from the Universe.

If the Universe is God, we are one with God. No one can take us out of God, and no one can give us God. Every atom in us is the essence of the Universe. Every atom in us is the essence of God.

The Universe is God is the grandest uniting statement. Every living and non-living entity is part of this Universe. We are all one. We are all the same. Religious and political leaders can no longer divide us. We can not discriminate against each other. We are all part of the Universe.

God is the Universe. The Universe is God. If humanity accepts and appreciates this assertion it will change the world. It will upgrade the lives of the seven billion people on Earth.

Join the movement to make people aware of our Universal and common heritage: We are one. We are part of the same Universe. We are part of the same God.
