The external God-Concept has little do with the inner “God-Experience.”
Can the push to seek happiness from an external, invisible God be the biggest misdirection in the history of mankind — leading people away from an even more powerful, permanent source of happiness?
Religion and God
Religion has benefitted greatly from the concept of an external God. Favor and fear of God is a powerful motivator. Would religion survive if you separated God from religion? Would religion become weak and optional? The God-concept has been religion’s masterstroke and marketing genius. The God-concept makes religion relevant, potent, and powerful.
God and People
The concept of God has helped people. Knowing there is a God gives solace and comfort to people. God is someone whom they can pray to and share their problems and ask for resolution. Faith, belief, and devotion to God can and has brought a lot of peace to people.
Misdirection
However, there is a problem. This push to find happiness through an external God has led people away from the real, most powerful, and permanent source of happiness — the life-transforming bliss within themselves. Every human on Earth has a miraculous ability to experience infinite inner-bliss. When they experience their inner-bliss they transcend the need for external, transient happiness.
God-Experience versus God-Concept
Sometimes called the “God-Experience,” this phenomenon of experiencing the infinite peace within is certainly out-of-this-world, but the God-experience within has little do with the external God-concept.
The ability to experience this bliss within is not dependent on the external concept of God, it has to do with our DNA. We are wired to experience this amazing phenomenon. It is single-handedly, the most fascinating aspect of a human being’s life.

Pursuing Inner-Peace
It is the greatest irony. By drowning the discourse with the external God-concept, religion has overshadowed and distracted people away from what they already possess and what they should focus on in life. Pursuing inner-peace should be the highest priority in our lives.
Thousands of years ago, the sages in ancient India discovered this phenomenon — when you quiet the mind, when you are able to quiet it for extended periods, your being fills with inexplicable, indescribable bliss and happiness. It then changes your perspective on life and raises your quality of life.
Quiet your mind is the simple message the ancient Indian sages gave mankind. They did not turn it into a religion, they did not decorate or embellish it with the concept of God. Their work predated God and religion. It was purely a scientific pursuit and discovery about human nature. They discovered the science of spirituality!
Spirituality versus Religion
Spirituality is independent of religion and it is distinct from religion. Atheists can experience spirituality just the same as the religious. Spirituality does not discriminate. It cannot! Rich or poor, saint or killer, religious or atheist, man or woman, gay or straight, everyone has equal access to experience their bliss within. No one can be denied. No judgments. No preconditions.
Everyone can experience spirituality. Spirituality is everyone’s birthright and destiny. When we experience the infinite bliss within, we reach the ultimate state in life.
Role of Religion
Religions should have delivered the message of inner-peace and universal spirituality front and center, instead, they confused the issue and hampered the Truth from reaching the people.
Your Mind can never “See” God
God cannot be experienced through our minds. Our minds can only deal with finite things. The concept of God that we comprehend through our minds is jaded, limited, and inaccurate. The infinite-bliss within is the real experience of — God, Infinity, Universe — or whatever else you desire to call it. The inner-experience is the “real” thing. The real miracle.
God cannot be found Outside
God cannot be found in places of worship, in pilgrimage sites, in the clouds, at the bottom of the oceans, or in far-flung galaxies. God cannot be “found.” God can only be experienced.
Inner-bliss is the only and ultimate experience of God. Only when we experience our inner-peace do we then understand the true nature of God, which is a million times more profound than the trivialized concept of God in our mind and the childish caricature of God pushed by religion.
The childish description of God worked when people were uneducated and superstitious. The modern, science-educated populations deserve a more profound definition and understanding of God.
Life-Purpose
If we spend our lives chasing the external God-concept, we will not achieve much. We must turn inward and experience the infinite-state within.
Peaceful Earth
If over the ages, religion had reminded people to focus within as opposed to focusing externally, we probably would be living in a heaven on Earth. We would be a more peaceful, happier, and progressive civilization.
It may not be too late to change the course of human history. Join the revolution. Experience your inner-peace and spread the Truth — everyone on Earth regardless of religion can experience the infinite peace within, which is the true God-experience!
